BOARD OF DIRECTORS
I joined Seattle Beagle Rescue many years ago when it was part of Seattle Purebred Dog Rescue. Our founder, Judy, wanted to help Beagle mixes, too, so we became our own rescue. At first, I fostered dogs and was the foster home co-ordinator. I stopped fostering as I adopted a pair of Beagles we were fostering! Now I work with incoming dogs, medical issues, and adoption applications.
My husband and I joined Seattle Beagle Rescue early in 2012 as a foster home with our first foster only staying 2 days before being adopted. As of March 2017 we have fostered 9 amazing Beagles (one 9 year old who stayed to become our third resident dog in 2014), all with different personalities, puppy to senior, purebred and mix breed, loud barkers and quiet cuddlers.
I have been a Seattle Beagle Rescue volunteer since 2017, helping with airport pickups and transports as well as events and adoptions. We have a Nelson from South Korea and Bo who are Beagle mixes. We also with have 2 cats CC and Rio that really rule the house. I am married to Rich and have one son teenage son Connor.
I have been a Seattle Beagle Rescue volunteer since 2007. Beagles Maggie and Lucy and Brandy the kitty, allow my husband Jerry and I to share their home. Jerry and I have three adult children and two grandchildren. I am a first grade teacher, planning to retire in June 2017 after 40 years of teaching. I look forward to having more time for the Beagles.
