a "furever" family.
Max and Penny had a hard start in life but thanks to a kind and generous person, their future looks bright.
This male (Max) and female (Penny) bonded pair have lived their entire life in a kennel where they were used for breeding. Their rescuer saw a Facebook post that the owner was giving them away. Not wanting them to go to a bad place, the rescuer brought them home and started to teach them about living in a family. Max and Penny are adapting beautifully, and their rescue home has reached out to us for help finding the perfect forever home.
They are bonded, and will only be placed in a home committed to keeping them together.
They are 5 years old. Both are fine with other dogs. They cannot be in a home with cats. They both chase cats and not in a playful way.
Penny is sweet and loving. She has playful times but mostly likes to nap on a lap or next to a person.
Max loves to cuddle and sleep under covers. He loves playing with toys and will hide them between couch cushions or in a bed.
Max cannot be crated. It makes him highly anxious. Penny and Max have been left home alone with the two resident dogs and do fine, as far as no chewing or destructive behavior but both will bark, especially Max, so these are not apartment dogs.
They have done very well with house-training in just a few months.
Please help Max and Penny find their new home!
